Bad habits, good habits…

Don’t want a bad habit in your puppy and in your puppies future adulthood?

Came to a rather basic realization.
It is far easier to never have a privilege, than to have one and then have it taken away.

My current grown dog , Braveheart, doesn’t beg in the least. I can be eating in the truck, she is sitting in the passenger seat, we call it co-pilot, and in the cup holder in-between us are french fries. My dog doesn’t eat them, she doesn’t even act like she gets them. She is not drooling, she is not anticipatory. I have never fed my dog human food, from my hands, or when I am eating. She simply doesn’t expect it and it is not an issue.

Sagan is now just short of 12 weeks old, in fact today at 9:35 in the morning 3 weeks ago was when I went to pick him up, I have decided I want the same sort of response to this situation with him. I will never feed him from my hands my own food, while I am eating or any other time.

Again…

It is far easier to never have a privilege, than to have one and then have it taken away.
